John helps fast-growing, closely held, new or mature companies to fund their growth with bank or SBA-guaranteed loans. He also works with high-net-worth individuals on commercial real estate and business acquisition loans. John has worked in finance since 2007. Before joining BSF, he worked for Mechanics Bank and Stanford Federal Credit Union. John serves on the Working Solutions Loan Committee and Urban Solutions Advisory Board. John holds a master’s degree in business administration and in Asia and Pacific studies from the University of San Francisco.
Lia brings to the Bank more than 25 years of experience working with a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. At BSF, she is a dedicated Relationship Manager, with expertise in performing holistic assessments and identifying clients’ needs—from cash management to lending services. She currently manages the banking relationships of our political treasurers and consultants, nonprofits, fiduciaries and contractors in San Francisco and the North Bay, to name a few. Lia is a San Francisco native who now lives in the North Bay. With a passion for community service, she is an active member of the Elks Club of San Rafael and a board member for Lifehouse Agency.
Paul has more than 30 years of finance experience in the areas of commercial real estate, real estate development and construction and international trade finance. He also has extensive experience banking nonprofit organizations and high-net-worth individuals. Before joining BSF, Paul worked at City National Bank, Boston Private and Cathay Bank Corporate Lending Group. Additionally, Paul previously served as Mayor and Council member for the City of Millbrae and is a current member of the Peninsula Health Care District’s finance committee. Paul graduated from UC Berkeley, received his MBA from San Francisco State University and recently graduated from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania. In his spare time, Paul volunteers at homeless shelters and enjoys taking long walks with his wife.
A lifelong resident of the San Francisco Peninsula, Neal has enjoyed more than 25 years as an experienced commercial, private and mortgage banker, working in a variety of relationship management, senior manager and financial consulting roles. At BSF, Neal combines his interest in the community with his interest in building relationships in order to provide financing and depository solutions for businesses, high-net-worth individuals and nonprofits. Neal is a long-time Board Member (and former President) of the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center, past Board Member (and former President) of the Peninsula Girls Chorus, a life-long member of Peninsula Temple Sholom and a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Foundation Program. He earned a BA in Economics from U.C. Berkeley, an MBA from USF and a Personal Financial Planning Certificate from UCLA Extension.
Victor’s banking career spans more than two decades. He has held senior-level roles at various organizations, including Union Bank, Fifth Third Bank and Wells Fargo. Victor began his banking career at Home Savings of America, while majoring in business management at University of California, Santa Cruz. Victor focuses on deposits and the overall client relationship. He has extensive experience with legal and nonprofit organizations. Victor is passionate about community involvement and is a Community Advisory Panel member at KQED. He has served on the Board of Directors for Berkeley Symphony and The Link to Children (TLC). He is also involved with prominent Latino legal aid organizations, including: San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association, California Rural Legal Assistance and La Raza Centro Legal.
John is a veteran banker with more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate lending. In his current role, he is focused on providing tailored lending solutions for multi-family, mixed-use and commercial real estate properties in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as providing credit facilities for businesses and nonprofits. Prior to joining BSF, John held positions at United Business Bank, Merrill Lynch and First Republic Bank. John is a life-long resident of San Francisco, and is thrilled to be a part of a community bank so entrenched in the spirit and culture of the city. He is a long-time board member, and former president, of the San Francisco Bay Area Council Boy Scouts of America and is chairman of the San Francisco Sea Scouts.
Damian has been in the financial services industry since 2005, when he began his career as a Financial Aid Officer in the private university sector. He brings more than 10 years of client-focused service and account management experience to BSF. In his current role as Portfolio Manager, Damian is instrumental in the management of existing portfolio client relationships, development of new commercial client relationships and the mitigation of credit risk. He has particular expertise in lending to small and mid-size businesses, especially those looking for SBA-guaranteed loans. Damian is a Northern California native and holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Santa Cruz.
Grace has more than 30 years of banking experience, and began her journey as a teller, holding several positions in banks and credit unions on the Peninsula and in San Francisco's Financial District. Prior to joining BSF, Grace served as a Vice President Branch Administration Officer and Human Resources Manager at Presidio Bank for 12 years. She handled various banking functions, including client services, back-office and HR duties. In her spare time, Grace is an avid traveler, and loves to spend time with her family and dog.
